Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed cancer type: squamous cell cancer or adenocarcinoma in the esophagus or stomach junction
  • Your tumor is not fully removable right now (unresectable) or might be removed later (potentially resectable)
  • Cancer spread is limited: no distant metastasis except possibly to nearby supraclavicular lymph nodes
  • You are age 18 or older and can sign consent
  • You have not had prior chemotherapy or radiation to the chest area
  • Your organs/blood tests are in acceptable ranges (including white blood cells, platelets, and liver/kidney blood tests)
