Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You are right-handed
  • If you have back pain: it has lasted more than 6 months
  • If you have back pain: your average pain over the last 2 weeks is at least 4 out of 10
  • You can read, write, and follow study instructions in English
  • You can safely have an MRI scan (no metal implants/pacemaker, and not pregnant)
