This study looks at blood clotting (platelets) during the first phase after a heart attack. You may be able to join if you were recently diagnosed with a heart attack and received standard heart-attack blood thinners like aspirin and a second anti-platelet medicine.

Who can take part
- You had symptoms of a heart attack (like chest pain) either at rest or new/worse with activity
- Your tests show a heart attack, such as a troponin rise and/or specific ECG (heart tracing) changes
- You can agree to the study and follow its procedures
- You already received aspirin at least 1 hour before your heart catheter procedure
- You also received a second anti-platelet medicine (clopidogrel or ticagrelor) at least 1 hour before the catheter
- You’re not pregnant and your blood counts are in a safe range (platelets not too low/high; hemoglobin not too low)
