Who can take part
- You had a heart attack with specific ECG changes (electrical changes on your heart rhythm test) within the last 12 hours
- You are 18 years or older and able to give informed consent
- You are having an emergency heart catheterization (a tube inserted into your artery) to treat a blocked coronary artery
- You do not have severe heart instability, asthma, or severe lung disease
- You can have an MRI scan (no metal implants, pacemakers, or severe claustrophobia) and normal enough kidney function
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or expected to have a life expectancy under 12 months
