Who can take part

  • You must have been newly diagnosed with a germ cell tumor, and the tumor type/stage must match the study’s low-risk or standard-risk groups
  • You must have confirmed tumor diagnosis from tissue testing (biopsy or surgery pathology), with a few special marker-based exceptions
  • Your age must fit the group: low-risk has no age limit; standard-risk is under 11 or 11–24 years old
  • If you are in the standard-risk group (and will get chemotherapy), you must have blood counts and organ function that are strong enough for chemotherapy
  • You must be healthy enough to tolerate treatment (activity level score can’t be too low)
  • You must have never had chemotherapy or radiation for this current cancer (with limited exceptions for certain brain radiation in one group)
