Who can take part

  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of prostate cancer based on a biopsy or tissue test
  • Your scans show metastatic (spread) prostate cancer (M1a or M1b)
  • You can sign informed consent and are able to follow study visits and instructions
  • Your day-to-day function is good (ECOG 0 or 1)
  • You started hormone therapy recently (within 6 months before study randomization)
  • Your body can handle anesthesia and the cryosurgery procedure
