This study tests whether a procedure that uses focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) and/or a radiofrequency nerve treatment can reduce long-lasting low back pain caused by facet-joint arthritis. It may help people whose pain improves strongly after a targeted numbing injection to specific back nerves.

Who can take part
- Age 20 to 79 years old
- You have long-term low back pain from facet-joint osteoarthritis (confirmed by spine imaging)
- Your pain has lasted at least 6 months and is at least 4 out of 10 on a pain scale
- You’ve tried standard treatments (like physical therapy and anti-inflammatory or other pain medicines)
- Your pain is not felt below the knee
- A previous targeted injection/numbing test to the medial nerve branch must reduce pain by more than 75%
