Who can take part
- You are scheduled for elective lung surgery to remove part or all of a lung (segmentectomy, lobectomy, or pneumectomy)
- You can read, understand, and sign the consent form
- Your overall ability to do daily activities is limited to ECOG 0–2 (not more limited than that)
- Your weight is between 60 kg and 120 kg
- You do not have a severe allergy to latex or to anesthesia medicines used in the study plan
- You do not have kidney problems, significant liver problems, or severe heart failure
