Who can take part

  • You must sign informed consent before any study steps begin.
  • Your prostate cancer must be confirmed by biopsy as typical prostate adenocarcinoma (not a small-cell type).
  • Your cancer stage must be early: T1c to T2c, with no spread to lymph nodes or other body sites on scans (M0, N0).
  • Your biopsy Gleason score must be 3+3 or 3+4 (not higher).
  • Your PSA must be 15 ng/mL or less, and you should be well enough for study treatment (performance status 0–1) with urinary symptom score 10 or less.
  • Your prostate size on MRI must be 70 cc or less, and you must be able to have small tracking beacons (Calypso) placed so the team can target radiation accurately.
  • You must not have had prior pelvic radiation or prostate cancer surgery, and no prostate procedure like TURP within the last 12 weeks.
  • You must avoid fathering a child during treatment and for 6 months after (birth-control guidance will be needed).
