Who can take part

  • You are right-handed.
  • Your spinal cord symptoms have been getting worse for less than 24 months.
  • You can safely have MRI scans.
  • You do not have another brain or nerve condition or a medical illness that could also affect your nervous system.
  • You can read and speak English.
  • You are not too uncomfortable with enclosed spaces (no severe claustrophobia).
  • You can follow simple instructions and make the same movements as directed during tasks.
  • You can come back for all scheduled follow-up MRI and rehabilitation sessions.
