This study tests whether non-invasive electrical stimulation of the spinal cord, combined with physical therapy, can improve your ability to stand and walk after a spinal cord injury. It explores how your brain and spinal cord can adapt and rebuild connections to help you move better.

Who can take part

  • Be between 22 and 75 years old
  • Unable to stand on your own or walk without help due to a spinal cord injury (AIS grade A, B, or C)
  • Have had a spinal cord injury (non-progressive) for at least 1 year and up to 30 years
  • Injury level must be between C4 and T12 in your spine (neck to mid-back), but not at the very bottom of the spinal cord
  • Be able to transfer yourself from a wheelchair and move both arms in a gravity-dependent plane
  • Have no active infections, pressure sores, or other health problems that would make therapy unsafe
