- Be between 1 month and 3 years old
- Be having surgery that requires sevoflurane anesthesia
- You must not have lung or chest conditions that cause flare-ups within the last 2 weeks
- You must not have a history of difficult intubation or ventilation (placing a breathing tube or using a ventilator)
- You must not have certain heart rhythm problems or heart birth defects
- You must not have certain nerve/brain conditions (like seizures or cerebral palsy) or a history of malignant hyperthermia
