  • You are between 3 and 12 years old.
  • You are scheduled for a procedure to close a type of heart hole called a secundum atrial septal defect.
  • You do not have serious health problems like severe liver or kidney disease, or a history of allergy to the study drugs.
  • You have not had major neurological conditions or prior heart surgery.
  • You do not have any known chromosomal abnormalities or complex heart defects.
