CT or MRI blood-flow imaging in strokes treated within 6–24 hours

Who can take part

  • You’re 18 or older with symptoms of a new, acute ischemic stroke
  • Your stroke severity score (NIHSS) is 6 or higher
  • You can start the clot-removing procedure within 6 to 24 hours of your last known well time
  • You were not disabled before the stroke (mRS 0–3)
  • Imaging shows a specific artery blockage and a “target mismatch” pattern on CT or MRI perfusion
  • You can safely get contrast brain perfusion scans (CT or MRI) and sign consent
