  • You are 18 or older
  • You arrive at the hospital within 24 hours of the last time you were known well
  • You have an emergency stroke diagnosed by symptoms and/or scan results
  • A stroke screening score called FAST-ED is 4 or higher
  • You (or your legal representative) can give consent to join the study
