Who can take part

  • You must have a new brain tumor diagnosis of glioblastoma or anaplastic astrocytoma confirmed by biopsy
  • Your scans must not show multiple large separate tumor areas (or brainstem involvement), except some specific leptomeningeal cases
  • You should be able to expect treatment for at least 12 weeks (life expectancy ≥ 12 weeks)
  • You must not have had prior radiation, chemotherapy, or gene/vector or similar immune treatments in the last few weeks
  • Your blood counts and organ labs must be strong enough (blood and liver/kidney tests meet set limits)
  • You must be willing to return for biopsies during the study and follow birth-control rules if you can become pregnant
