This Phase 1 study tests the safety and best dose of a CD19 CAR T cell therapy (azer-cel) in people whose B-cell blood cancer has returned or did not respond to treatment. It may help people with relapsed/refractory B-ALL or certain aggressive or large B-cell lymphomas, including after or before prior CAR T treatment.

Who can take part

  • You have relapsed or refractory CD19-positive B-ALL or a CD19-positive B-cell lymphoma
  • For lymphoma, the cancer was aggressive and CD19-positive, and tissue was confirmed from your last relapse
  • You can do daily activities pretty well (performance status score 0–1) and your estimated life expectancy is at least 12 weeks
  • Your HIV test is negative, and your body has enough bone marrow, kidney, liver, lung, and heart function for treatment
  • You have no current active disease in the brain/spinal cord (except certain cases like primary CNS lymphoma)
  • You have not had certain recent treatments or procedures (like a recent stem cell transplant or recent CD19 therapy beyond allowed CAR T use)
