This trial tests whether a medicine called 4-aminopyridine (4AP) can help recover or protect erectile function after “nerve-sparing” prostate surgery. It’s for men with early-stage, non-spread prostate cancer who are scheduled for robotic prostate surgery and have good baseline erections.

Who can take part
- You are a man age 45–75 with early-stage prostate cancer that has not spread (organ-confined, stages cT1c–T2c).
- Your PSA blood test is under 15 ng/ml within the last 12 months, and the cancer was confirmed by biopsy.
- You have a good starting erectile function score (IIEF-5 of 17 or higher).
- You are scheduled for robotic “nerve-sparing” prostatectomy and do not expect to need added cancer treatment right after surgery.
- You can commit to not using erectile dysfunction treatments until 3 months after surgery and are able to consent.
