Who can take part
- You are pregnant with a single male baby between 16 and 25 weeks of gestation
- Your baby has signs of lower urinary tract obstruction: enlarged bladder, thickened bladder wall, and swollen kidneys on both sides
- Your baby shows low or no amniotic fluid (the liquid surrounding the baby)
- Your baby's kidneys are still functioning well enough to benefit from surgery
- You have no serious maternal health conditions, placental problems, infections (HIV, Hepatitis B or C), or previous uterine surgery that would make surgery unsafe
- You are able to travel for the procedure and follow-up appointments
