Who can take part
- Age 18–75, and you have a confirmed diagnosis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma
- Your cancer is advanced and not removable by surgery, and it has spread or come back (including nearby lymph nodes)
- Your cancer did not respond to first treatment, or you could not tolerate it (chemotherapy or immunotherapy)
- You have at least one measurable spot of cancer that can be safely followed on scans
- You can provide a tissue sample for biomarker testing (new sample preferred; stored tissue may be used)
- Your heart, kidneys, liver, and blood counts are in acceptable ranges, and you are well enough to do daily activities (ECOG 0–1)
