Study of a medicine to treat high potassium in children

Who can take part

  • Your child must be from birth up to under 18 years old during the study
  • Your child must have high potassium that meets the trial’s lab and urine/blood criteria
  • At screening, an ECG (heart tracing) must meet age-specific limits for “QTc” timing
  • Your child must be able to have repeated blood draws, or blood can be taken via an IV/vein line
  • If your child can become pregnant: they must have a negative pregnancy test and use two reliable birth-control methods
  • They must not have certain causes of high potassium (for example, dehydration or specific medication causes) and must not need immediate heart treatment
