Who can take part

  • Your potassium level must be between 5.5 and 6.5 mEq/L at first visit, and between 5.0 and 6.5 mEq/L at a later visit.
  • You have heart failure and are on stable doses of RAASi and/or MRA medications for at least 4 weeks.
  • You have chronic kidney disease stages 2–5, not on dialysis, with a certain level of kidney function.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You cannot have had a recent heart attack, stroke, or heart surgery within the past 12 weeks.
  • You cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy; women of childbearing age must use effective contraception.
