Heart Failure Treatment with Aldosterone Blocker and Potassium Control

Who can take part

  • You are over 70 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with heart failure (any type) with heart function measured in the last 2 years
  • Your kidney function is adequate (GFR ≥20 mL/min/1.73 m²)
  • You are currently on standard heart failure medications (ACE inhibitor or similar, beta blocker, and SGLT2 inhibitor)
  • You are either not taking an aldosterone blocker (MRA) or taking a low dose (≤25 mg daily)
  • You have had high potassium levels during heart failure treatment, or you currently have moderately elevated potassium with kidney concerns, or your potassium is currently elevated
