Who can take part

  • You are age 18 or older.
  • You have a narrowing in the left main artery (LM) that looks moderate (about 30% to 80% narrowed) on angiogram, or the angiogram is unclear.
  • You have no major additional blockages in the left front (LAD) or left side (LCX) arteries beyond what’s allowed (with some limited exceptions like certain branch or artery openings).
  • You have not had certain prior heart procedures for the left coronary system (no prior stent in the left system, no bypass surgery).
  • You can safely take the study medicines and contrast used during the procedure (no allergy/contraindication to heparin, iodine contrast, beta-blocker, nitroglycerin, or adenosine), and your kidneys are healthy enough for contrast.
  • You are able to provide consent and do not have pregnancy risk rules that can’t be met, and you’re not expected to have less than 1 year of life expectancy.
