Who can take part

  • You have severe seizures in a newborn, or generalized epilepsy in infancy
  • Your seizures started before age 1
  • The seizure condition may be an “epileptic encephalopathy,” meaning seizures are severe and the cause isn’t yet known
  • There is no clear cause like a head injury or a brain infection at the time of screening
  • No tests have found a known genetic change that explains the seizures, such as an important copy-number variant on CGH
