Who can take part
- You are at least 16 years old
- You have a diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) based on heart muscle thickness (about 15 mm in adults, or 13 mm in adult relatives)
- You either do not have a defibrillator, or you have one placed for prevention before a serious event (not after an event)
- You have heart muscle thickness due to typical HCM, not a specific other cause like amyloidosis
- You must be covered by social security insurance
- You should not have a defibrillator placed for secondary prevention (after an aborted sudden cardiac arrest or a sustained dangerous heart rhythm)
