Who can take part
- Your heart problem is non-ischemic cardiomyopathy, confirmed by a special heart MRI with contrast
- Your heart MRI shows a left-ventricle scar (people without scar can join a registry, but not this device comparison)
- Your heart pumping is very weak (left ventricular ejection fraction 35% or less) after at least 3 months of best medical treatment
- You feel at least mildly-to-moderately limited by heart failure symptoms (NYHA class I to III) and not class IV
- You have never had an implantable device like an ICD, CRT, or pacemaker already
- You can and are willing to give informed consent
