Who can take part

  • You have a type of heart muscle disease called dilated cardiomyopathy (not caused by blocked arteries)
  • An MRI of your heart shows certain scarring (called late gadolinium enhancement), but not the hinge-point type
  • Your heart's pumping strength is less than 35% (measured by an echo or MRI)
  • Your heart failure symptoms are mild to moderate (NYHA class I, II, or III)
