  • You have type 2 diabetes
  • You are considered at higher risk for heart and blood vessel problems
  • You have heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (your heart’s pumping strength is preserved)
  • You do NOT have type 1 diabetes
  • You do NOT have kidney disease
  • You do NOT have diabetic retinopathy (eye damage from diabetes)
