Who can take part

  • Have type 2 diabetes for at least 6 months
  • Be age 40 or older
  • Do not have known serious heart or stroke history
  • Blood tests suggest higher heart strain (NT-proBNP above 125 pg/mL)
  • Kidney function is adequate (eGFR 45 or higher)
  • Blood pressure and heart rate at the start are not too low (SBP at least 100 and HR at least 60)
