Who can take part

  • Your child must have a cancer (leukemia, lymphoma, or solid tumor) that has come back or hasn't responded to standard treatments.
  • If your child has a specific type of leukemia called CML, they must have already tried at least one targeted therapy that didn't work or caused side effects.
  • For some groups, the tumor must have a specific genetic change (like BCR-ABL, RET, FLT3, or others) that the study drug, ponatinib, targets.
  • Your child must be well enough to be active and out of bed for at least 40% of the day (Karnofsky or Lansky score of 40% or higher).
  • Your child must have recovered from major side effects of previous cancer treatments before starting this trial.
  • Your child cannot have active serious heart problems, pancreatitis, uncontrolled infections, or certain genetic conditions like Down syndrome.
