Who can take part

  • You’re between 50 and 85 years old (for the main group).
  • You have acid reflux symptoms/diagnosis plus strong risk: taking reflux meds for at least 3 months in the last 5 years or past erosive esophagitis.
  • Your BMI is 30 or higher.
  • You have at least three risk factors for Barrett’s esophagus.
  • You have not previously been diagnosed with Barrett’s esophagus, and you have not had an endoscopy in the last 5 years (for people in the control portion).
