Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 90 years old.
  • You have known or suspected Barrett's esophagus, or you are having a routine endoscopy for other reasons.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are not taking blood thinners (unless you can stop them for 3–5 days before the procedure).
  • You do not have trouble swallowing, a history of certain esophagus conditions, or a recent cancer in the upper digestive tract.
