- You are between 21 and 70 years old
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 24.5 and 32.5
- You usually eat less than 0.9 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day
- Your weight has been stable for at least 2 months and you have not been exercising in a structured way (about 150 minutes per week or less)
- You do not have prediabetes or type 2 diabetes
