- You are between 50 and 70 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 25 and 45.
- You have pre-diabetes or diabetes (HbA1c between 5.7% and 7.5%, or fasting blood sugar at least 100 mg/dL).
- You are willing to not drink alcohol or use marijuana/CBD for two 7-day periods.
- You do not have lactose intolerance and you eat dairy foods.
- You are not taking insulin, GLP-1/GIP injections, or weight-loss medications.
