Who can take part
- You must be willing to join and sign an informed consent form.
- You already had curative surgery (tumor removed with clear margins, called R0) and pathology confirmed thoracic esophageal squamous cell cancer.
- Your cancer stage must match pN1-2 (with certain pT1b-3 and M0 features), meaning nearby lymph nodes are involved but no distant spread.
- You should have good basic health: performance status (WHO PS) score 0–1 and age 18–75.
- Your heart, liver, and kidney blood tests (done within 1 week before the next treatment) must meet study limits.
- You must not have had any anti-cancer treatment before surgery, and you must not have an allergy to the chemotherapy drugs.
