Who can take part

  • Your child is between 3 months and 4 years 11 months old
  • Your child is in the pediatric heart ICU after heart (cardiac) surgery during the study dates
  • The study medicine must start within 12 to 24 hours after surgery
  • The care team decides your child will receive ketorolac for pain based on the surgery details and lab tests
  • Your child does not have signs of kidney injury after surgery
  • Your child cannot have an allergy to ketorolac or other NSAID pain medicines
