Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
- You already had standard induction “7+3” chemotherapy within the last 14–33 days, and your bone marrow still shows persistent leukemia.
- Your doctor believes you are unlikely to get complete remission without more intensive treatment, and you can likely handle intensive chemotherapy.
- Your heart function must be strong enough (left heart pumping ability around normal, and you must not have reached too high a lifetime dose of similar chemo drugs).
- Your blood and organ tests must be within required limits (including kidney function and liver enzymes), and you should not have pregnancy/breastfeeding during the study period.
