Who can take part
- You are between 1 and 21 years old.
- Your leukemia (AML) has come back for a second time or more, or has not gone away after standard treatment.
- Your leukemia came back within one year of your first diagnosis.
- Your leukemia came back after a stem cell transplant.
- Your leukemia has high-risk features in its genetic makeup.
- You must be well enough to have a daily activity score of 60 or higher.
- You must have adequate kidney, liver, and heart function.
- You must not have an uncontrolled infection, fungal infection, or active leukemia in the spinal fluid.
- You cannot have Down syndrome or certain types of leukemia like APL.
- You must not have received other cancer treatment within the last 2 weeks.
