Study of gut microbes during immunotherapy for lung cancer

Who can take part

  • You are an adult with advanced non–small cell lung cancer that cannot be surgically removed
  • Your doctor plans treatment with PD-1 immunotherapy (alone or with chemotherapy)
  • You have not taken antibiotics, steroids, or chemotherapy in the past month
  • You do not have brain metastases on MRI from your routine staging
  • Your lung function test is not severely reduced (FEV1 is at least 50% predicted)
