- You are an adult with advanced non–small cell lung cancer that cannot be surgically removed
- Your doctor plans treatment with PD-1 immunotherapy (alone or with chemotherapy)

- You do not have brain metastases on MRI from your routine staging
- Your lung function test is not severely reduced (FEV1 is at least 50% predicted)
