Who can take part
- You/your baby must be a newborn within the first 72 hours of life
- The baby is either a term baby or a preterm baby (including growth-restricted babies)
- The baby is in a postnatal ward within this time window or in a neonatal unit
- Parents/guardians must give written consent (as instructed for ward vs neonatal unit babies)
- The baby must not have a severe congenital anomaly diagnosed before or after birth
