Who can take part

  • You’re a woman age 18 or older with confirmed endometrial cancer (including uterine carcinosarcoma)
  • Your cancer appears early (stage I): it’s only inside the uterus
  • You can do most usual activities (ECOG “0 or 1” meaning fully active or limited but able to care for yourself)
  • Scans and exams show no sign of cancer outside the uterus
  • You’re able to have laparoscopic or robotic surgery based on your surgeon’s plan
  • No dye-tracer allergy: you can safely receive indocyanine green (ICG)

This trial tests whether removing only the first lymph node to detect cancer spread (sentinel node mapping) is as effective as removing all lymph nodes in the pelvic area (comprehensive lymphadenectomy) for a specific type of endometrial cancer with a p53 mutation, stages I–II. The goal is to see if the less extensive surgery can result in similar outcomes while possibly reducing side effects.
