Who can take part
- You are an adult (age 18 or older).
- You are having an esophagus pressure test (HRM) as part of routine care, or you’re a healthy control with no known GI problems.
- If you’re asked to use the SQUID scanner, you can comfortably lie very still for the required time.
- You can safely have an MRI if needed (no pacemaker, certain metal implants, metal fragments/chips, or other MRI safety issues).
- You are not morbidly obese, because the SQUID equipment may not fit the current design.
