Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old and can sign written consent
  • Your polycythemia vera (PV) diagnosis was made within the last 15 years
  • You have “high-risk” PV (for example, high white blood cell count or age over 60, prior clot/bleeding, very high platelets, or needing medicine for high blood pressure or diabetes)
  • Your hemoglobin is above 8 g/dl at screening
  • You may have had one prior PV treatment (cytoreductive therapy) for less than 10 years, as long as it did not stop working for you
  • You must have a JAK-2 mutation and you must not have had ruxolitinib before
