Who can take part

  • You have a history of glioma (WHO grade 2–4) that is showing signs of coming back on MRI
  • You have had radiation before, and you have not already had re-irradiation (extra radiation) for this recurrence
  • Your MRI shows a tumor that enhances (shows contrast uptake) and is 6 cm or smaller at its widest point
  • You can have a minimally invasive laser/biopsy procedure—your doctors think it is technically possible and safe
  • You are at least 22 years old and can do MRI scans (you do not have a medical reason you cannot get an MRI)
  • Your overall functioning is good enough for treatment (Karnofsky score of 60% or higher)
