Who can take part
- You can sign consent and are willing to follow the study visits
- You are between 18 and 69 years old
- You have rectal adenocarcinoma (cancer) within 12 cm of the anus
- Your body function score (ECOG) is 0 or 1, meaning you’re able to do most daily activities
- Your MRI shows high-risk locally advanced rectal cancer (such as T3 with specific nearby involvement, T4, or positive side lymph nodes)
- You have not had prior cancer treatment for colon/rectal cancer (chemo, immunotherapy, targeted pills, or hormone therapy)
