Who can take part

  • Your baby was born at 35 weeks or later (term or late-preterm).
  • Your baby has signs of blood breakdown (hemolysis), such as: positive DAT with blood group mismatch, and/or a hemoglobin drop of 2 g/dL within 24 hours.
  • Your baby does not have a major birth defect.
  • Your baby does not have a serious surgical problem.
  • Your baby does not have direct (conjugated) high bilirubin.
  • Your baby does not have sepsis (a serious body infection).
