Who can take part
- You/your child must have a confirmed diagnosis of neuroblastoma and fit the study’s “high-risk” cancer risk group.
- You/your child must be at the right point in treatment: usually at diagnosis before chemo, or within 21 days after specific early chemotherapy (or after one course of the current low/intermediate-risk protocol in Germany/Netherlands).
- If the patient could become pregnant: a recent negative pregnancy test, and use reliable birth control during the study and for 1 year after stopping; breastfeeding must stop.
- The patient must be willing and able to return for study visits and follow study procedures, and your family must provide consent (and age-appropriate child agreement).
- For later phases, the cancer must respond enough (examples include “complete” or “partial” response at metastatic sites) and the child must have enough blood-forming ability and organ function to safely receive the next treatment.
