Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have PAD confirmed by leg blood-flow testing (ankle-brachial index and/or toe-brachial index)
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) over 25
  • Not have had major leg circulation procedures or major heart/leg surgery in the last 3 months (or expect one soon)
  • Complete a 2-week “run-in” where you record enough calories (at least 800 calories/day for at least 5 days)
  • Be able and willing to use a smart phone and join weekly study sessions
