This trial studies whether giving a shorter-course radiation plan after prostate surgery, along with hormone shots (LHRH), can improve outcomes for people with higher-risk prostate cancer. You may be eligible if your PSA (a blood marker) is either still low but high-risk by pathology, or it has started to rise again after surgery.

Who can take part
- You are 18 or older and had a prostatectomy (surgery to remove the prostate).
- Your prostate cancer was high-risk based on the removed tissue or your PSA has started to rise after surgery.
- Your lymph nodes are negative (no spread to lymph nodes on imaging or pathology).
- Your cancer does not show bone spread on a bone scan (PET scans using certain tracers are allowed).
- Your PSA and testosterone need to be measured within about one month of starting the study, and PSA must meet study limits: under 0.4 if adjuvant, under 2.0 if salvage.
- You cannot have had prior hormone-blocking treatment (androgen deprivation), chemotherapy, or pelvic radiation, and you must have adequate blood counts and liver tests.
